How long do Calci worms live?

We send our Calci worms via a quick delivery service to ensure you get a couple of weeks before they change into Black soldier flies. This process can be slightly slowed by keeping your worms in a cold enclosure. It is worth bearing this in mind when you order our bulk Calci worms as some may change before they are all served.

What does a Calci worm turn into?

Calci worms naturally change into Black soldier flies after a few weeks. However, flies can also be a good food source for certain animals. frogs and geckos are known to particularly enjoy the challenge of fast-flying prey. While Black soldier flies in nature can carry disease, this is not the case in captive-bred specimens which can be safely fed to your pet.
